Sippy Cup Complications

My 7 1/2 month identical girls are soooo wanting to drink out of a sippy cup, but since they don't suck on a pacifier and don't drink out of a bottle, they are having "technical difficulties" with the sippy cup. They just keep biting the nipple to get the juice out. And with that, a huge mess. It is also hard to help 2 at the same time. Any suggestions? They really want the juice, but I don't know how to teach them to suck, not bite on the cup and again, trying to give/teach them both is a bit trying at the same time. By the way, I have a 3 1/2 and a 5 1/2 (boys) to keep up with, therefore, timing is of the essence. Thanks.

i have a 8 month old and he does n ot drink out of sippy cups, but he like regular cups so i let him drink out of that. but one thing that i do is put some juice in a bottle and let him drink out of there. my son uses sippy cups as a chew toy which i really don't allow. mabye give it a little time and see what comes. i hope this is a little helpful and know you are not alone.

I have an 8 month old daughter and we had the same problem. I give her a sippy cup with a straw and she does great!! My daughter is also breastfed.

Hey there I have 2 boys who at 6 months went straight to a cup no problem, but my daughter is a totally different story. She does the same thing. I'm assuming that you're breastfeeding? With my daughter if I had her suck off of the bottle (in your case the breast) for a couple seconds and then put the cup in her mouth, since she was already sucking she would continue and then get the juice out. But the problem, for me, when I realized she just didn't like the cup...so she still won't take it. Anyway, I hope that helped
