Anyone's 5 month old trying the Gerber Puffs yet? I know it's a little early, most people wait till at least 6 months if not longer. But my daughter stares us down when we are eating!! She wants some so bad, so I figured I could try those to keep her occupied. She doesn't have teeth yet but what baby chews with thier 2 front teeth anyway, and plus they dissolve so fast. I guess I just wanted to see if anyone else has try this yet and how it worked out.

Thanks!

Just give actual food if she's staring at you. Squash, sweet potatoe, banana.... no need to give her stuff just to "occupy" her. If she's hungry give her something she'll benefit from.

In regards to the puffs, as said in another post, I say give them to the child. But in correlation with what others have stated, if she's looking at you that intently, she wants food. Feed her baby food... be sure to follow the 3 day rule before changing, due to allergy awareness....

I use the puffs and the yogurt melts and my daughter loves them. She was interested in watching us eat and before I got the chance to say anything to the doctor he told me to go ahead and start feeding them to her. She has yet to choak on them and she seems to really like them

Rice Krispies! They desolve just as well, and are nice and small so baby won't choke! Plus they are way cheaper! My 6 month old has been eating them for the last month or so. Loves them. Also likes the Yum Yum's. Ladies - if your baby is super interested in what you are eating, that is a definite clue that they are ready for food! I give my daughter little bits of everything (that is soft and/or easy to eat). We started slowly at first to be careful of allergies, and only introduced one new food at a time. But now she's wanting to taste everything we eat!

Yes my daughter has been eating the puffs since she was 5 months, they disolve really quickly so they will not choke.

Hey Erin

My daughter was the same way she would just stare us down when we were eating. She loves the puffs!!! I have tried the yogurt melts also but the puffs are her favorite!
