Help! my daughter is contantly pulling big chunks of my hair out. Ive tried being stern and saying no (she just laughs) Ive tried just gently taking it out of her hand but unfortunatly she has developed quite the grip and just grabs for it again a minute later, if I put my hair up then she`ll just grabs for the tiny baby hairs around my ears! What can I do to stop this? It really hurts!

Yes, my son does the same. He is 8 months now. He started out pinching my face and nose. I know they don't understand much at this age. So, it's the tone in my voice that I know he does understand. I speak to him softly and say please be "gentle". I have tried the whole "no" thing in a stern voice, he just laughs. I do the whole soft voice and tell him "be gentle" now all the time and it works for him. He is very gentle when he touches faces. I also show him how to be gentle, by touching his face gently, and telling him "be gentle". I have 2 small dogs and we are going through the whole pulling on doggies tale right now. So, I will have to apply the same thing here as well I guess. Hope this helps! Every kid is different. What may work for one kid may not work for another.

mine does this also. She also grabs my nose and clenches her hands to get a fist full of my cheeks !!! When she lies down with her daddy she pulls on his ears ! I really have no clue how to stop her from doing these things ... but even if it hurts I still find her cute while doing it, lol. I am sure she will grow out of it once she is old enough to understand that she is hurting us. Good luck ;O)

Oh man... my son does this and it hurts SO bad! I haven't tried to do anything about it because he doesn't understand "no" yet. I don't know what you can do to stop it, but I wish I did!
