When I steam fruit/veg when making baby food, I take the steamed water (full of vitamins!) and freeze it into ice cubes. I just put an ice cube into water in my sons sippy cup - just enough flavour and all natural.

Another thing I do is put a slice of fruit into his cup - apple, pear, mango - he loves it.

Our community nurses advised only 1 part juice to 10 parts water. Apparently first teeth developing have no enamel and are like a sponge absorbing sugary substances and can cause enormous dental problems with some first teeth coming through damaged/stained. Also never to feed sugary liquids through a bottle but rather a sippy cup to avoid this. Water is best though as they can get a dependency on the sweet flavour for a drink.

I give my son who is 6 months old, half water and half apple juice or just plain water. He only gets it at lunch or dinner time as a treat with his meals. It also helps to wash the foods out of his mouth.

MY SON'S DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT HE CAN HAVE JUICE WHEN I TOOK HIM FOR HIS 6 MONTH CHECK UP. HE ALSO SAID THAT WATER WAS OK AS WELL, HE TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD USE TAP WATER BECAUSE IT HAS FLUORIDE IN IT, I USE THE NURSERY WATER THAT ALSO HAS FLUORIDE.

I have had my baby on XANGO's mangosteen juice since 5 months He had broncitus and it really helped I didn't even use the medication that the Dr gave me I would much rather use a natural juice than a drug prescription
I would just watch how much you give him but it should be fine in small amounts

Gerber is really good. But if you want to save some money, just buy regular juice and water it down. Half and half. 6 months is the normal start time. Keep it to apple, pear, and/ or grape to start. Citris fruits will make for a very upset tummy because of all the natural acids.

My son started at two months(doctor's orders) he was always constipated so she would tell me to give him an ounce of Gerber's Apple Prune Juice a day but I think they usually start at six months or shortly after

You can start now but half and half. I only let my son have juice with his lunch meal and its in a sippy...so he is learning a different way to drinkwhile getting a treat. I dont want him to associate the bottle with anything other then formula as a friend put jusice in a bottle and her daughter then only wanted jucie.

I do the same - 6mo and half natural fruit juice, half water. Just remember its not a replacement for milk, its more of a treat :)

I have started all my kids on juice at 6 months or shortly after. Half juice half water, and start with something gentle like apple.
