Video Baby Monitors

Those of you who have video baby monitors which type/brand do you have? Are you happy with it? Would you reccomend it? Id like to purchase one now that my son is moving so much at night. I want to be able to see him with out disturbing him by entering the nursey. Ive reviewed many and all get both good and bad reviews. So I thought the moms here could help me choose.

One thing I feel I have to mention that I discovered while reviewing is that there are two types of monitors. They are either analog or digital. The problem with analog is they share te same radio waves as everyone...meaning a neighbor with the same brand of monitor can most likely see and hear your baby and you!!! This is scary if you ask me. I read reviews stating tis very thing. I went on the Summer Infant website and the answer to this FAQ of seeing other babies was to purchase a different brand. What kind of answer is that? Anyway digital monitors dont have this problem. I think by law all monitors should have to be digital. So moms check all the channels on your might be surprised at what you see. And you might want to switch to digital.

I loved my video monitor BUT it is a proven fact that if you live in a home, anyone with a video receiver can drive down the road and see your baby and their room. Even if YOUR monitor is off if the camera is still on they can see and hear everything. And see that your not home and can break in.
There was a police officer driving down the road and went to every house and told them what was going on. So be careful.

We have a safety first digital monitor and I absolutely love it. I would't have gone any other way. We have never had any problems with ours and the picture is very clear. We bought ours new on E-bay and saved a lot of money that way.
