I have a lil boy and i started out using Pampers Newborn Swaddlers..they smell good, they're soft on baby's skin, and are light. They were the perfect size compared to any other newborn diaper brands but then he grew out of them and we switched to Huggies because we were having leaks with the other diapers but now..were back to swaddlers 2 lol. Huggies are great for leaks but swaddlers are great for comfort and soft on his skin so when im out of diapers i dont know which ones to buy cause i like them both.

A couple of my friends and I agree - Pampers Baby Dry fit slightly smaller than Pampers Swaddlers/Crusers. Baby Dry are also supposed to hold more (12 hours at night so the box says :) ).

I'm not a big Huggies fan - I find them stiff and less forgiving. However, I DESPISE Pampers wipes and love the Huggies ones. Go figure...lol

for my girl i had to use pampers only ones that didn't leak but my son leaks right thourgh pmapers and is doing great with huggies. a couple of my girl friends had the same problems girls do better with pampers and boys do better with huggies

I use the new Parents Choice brand from Walmart. The new Purple Packaging and the diapers are different colors for each size which worked very well when both of my girls were in diapers they were easy to tell apart for other people that watched them. I have no problems with leaking and my daughter has never has diaper rash. We used pampers that people had bought us in the beginning and she would always leak through at night. They are less then 6 dollars a package and even cheaper if you buy the big box. You can't beat it. Even my Toddler will wear one when we go out and she can pull them up and down without ripping and we don't have to buy pull ups!

Go to either Pampers Cruisers, or Huggies Little Movers. I use the Huggies, they don't leak, and the Little Movers are softer, and shaped to fit babys legs. They aren't so square and bulky.

It's so funny how much everyone's opinions differ. I tried huggies and the first time I did they leaked..I really like pampers but usually use Luvs which in my opinion are exactly like pampers but at much better price! Costco's Kirkland brand is also very good. Both Luvs and Kirkland never leak or give rashes and fit great! :)

iused to like the huggies cuz of the pocket in the back that collected all the poop that would leak out the back.. but i found silas out grew them way to quick.. i like the pampers because they last about 3 weeks longer then the huggies..( growth wise).. now i dont like the way the pampers fit around the legs.. they seem quite box'y while the huggies fit nicely around the legs... ive changed to pampers indefidently now because silas doesnt out grow them as fast..

i dont know if this helps but thats my thought on pampers vs. huggies.. lol

we use the papmers baby dry; the swaddlers use the dry max & we didnt like the way it just sits against his skin

I love the Pampers Swaddlers. We've been using the Baby Dry now more because my dad can get those at a discount. They seem to fit a little smaller than the Swaddlers in the same size. Not sure how that works. The biggest problem we have with leaks is because Squirt is very tall but skinny, so he outgrows diapers before he gets heavy enough to fill the next size up good, so occasionally we get pee leaks around his legs. I don't that problem would change much with brand so I don't worry too much about it. A little pee isn't going to hurt anything.

We tried pampers and huggies, with pampers 1 we had leak problems, so we tried huggies, also leak problems and on top of that we found that huggies are very bulky. So now LO is using pampers size 4 and is all going well, no rashes no leaks.

I have used all the diapers everyone has mentioned and pampers are definately the best as long as you dont get ones with dry max. They have caused chemical burns on several babies I personally know and there was a story on the news about it. Huggies dont have a great fit and end up leaking, and my son got a rash from Luvs.

I use the cheapest WALMART brand called Parent's Choice ... I bought them initally because they were the least expensive, but I've never had any problems with them and used them with both of my sons. No leaks, no rash, no ripping tabs, good fit ...

Pampers or huggies depending which is cheapest or best offer. So far on this one Pampers, but they don't absorb as much as I remember on my first, but it was 7 yrs ago so maybe I am forgetting!!!

Hey guys, i mainly used huggies (and the woolworths select brand as she got older) with my little girl who is now 3 and spent probably over $2000 on nappies in the 3 years. How ever with Connor i brought swaddlers and huggies..I found the swaddlers not to hold as much but have since spent $240 AU on fitted cloth nappies which i even kept a couple for my daughter when travelling as they are one size fits all. I find these pretty good for when you are just at home, and can change him often i just use cheap nappy liners as well so i dont have to deal with squased in poo, when we are going out for a period of time/ and over night i put a disposable on him as if he pees to much it does seep out the legs, but even in doing this in saving a tonne of money. If you want any info just contact me!

honestly I think it depends on the baby. My daughter and leaked both poop and pee through pampers and not once through huggies. She is in a size 2 almost a 3 now and I am sticking with huggies. I find them easier to put on her and they seem more comfortable to her. the pampers fit funny and leave red marks in her legs. But I have talked to other moms that think just the opposite. Every baby is different. I guess you will figure out what is best for you and your little man

Pampers dry max cause a horrible rash on my son! It was almost like a chemical burn! We use Babies R Us brand diapers and LOVE them! And they are so much cheaper!

With the huggies I would constantly have leaks. I would have just changed his diaper and when he'd pee it'd just come right out of the diaper and all over his clothes and the diaper would be completely dry! I tried everything and when I switched to pamper swaddlers I completely stopped having any problem. I'd go with the swaddlers because they are more comfortable and they have the new drymax which pulls the wetness away from the skin to cause less irritation

my son got a diaper rash with the pamper swaddelers. we now use pampers baby dry. or the pampers cruisers. i think the cruisers work the best, even if they are big for him the work fantastic. No leaks and stay dry.

We use pampers now for my 4month old, they leaked when he was a newborn, but since he moved out of that size we havent had a problem. Also, the walmart brand parents choice has worked well too. They have a more plastic like outer cover rather then the cloth like feel of pampers.

We started out with Pampers and tried Huggies once. We found that Huggies didn't contain the contents of my boys diaper. We quickly found out that the leakage is not from the diaper but from what we call the angle of the dangle. Hope this helps you.

I tried every brand of diapers and the only one that worked for my babies was Huggies. My daughter was especially chubby and they were the only ones that fit her.I like the new Huggies Little Snugglers because they have a little pouch in the back to catch runny poop. I have not had a blowout with my youngest yet.

I actually switched to Luvs altogether. They work for leaks and we have not had sesativity issues with them at all... they're also 1/3 of the price of pampers and huggies.

[deleted account]

For my skinny baby huggies leaked so I used Pampers but only 1 was skinny, the rest were all chunky and Huggies are great for chubby babies.

My baby girl is really chunky. She has very fat little legs. I am using pampers right now but they don't seem to fit quite right and we have had to go up a size to get them to work. I have heard pampers work better for thin babies and huggies work better for chunky babies. Has anyone found any truth in this? We are thinking about trying some huggies but we still have a case and a half of pampers (from showers)

I personally dont like Luvs..we were given alot of diapers for my baby shower so i havent had to buy any so far and he is about to be 4 months and were now using Luvs..i feel like im putting a plastic bag on him and they seem quite uncomfortable so i know i wont be buying Luvs when i run out of diapers.

Tanya, i also like the netting that Pampers have. I also like how they feel like they dont have a diaper on..it doesnt sag much until its dirty or wet.

My son rashed with Pampers. We use Huggies but I'm getting tired of the tabs ripping off so I don't know what to use next. Luvs or something, I don't even know what other brands there are.

My nephew leaked out of Huggies and Pampers at night. So he ended up using Pampers during the day and Huggies Overnights at night.

pampers leaked for my newborn so i used huggies but now he is a size 2 and moving to 3 and i am sticking to pampers swaddlers. i havent had problems with leaks after size 1. My son leaked A LOT more with huggies than pampers i like the netting inside the pampers it seams to hold the poop in more than with huggies. just my observation hope that helps :)

I found Huggies leaked with my son so we have been using Baby Love newborn however my son has grown out of them so we bought the Baby Love nappies to fit 5-13kilo however these are quite big on him so I am in the same position as you now. I might give the Pampers a try.
