as of thursday night i got put on bedrest due to having a few contractions and a lot of uterine irritability. its only the second day and im already going nuts not being allowed to do anything.. i know its whats best for the twins since they need to stay in for a few more weeks atleast but i have stuff around the house that needs done and its bugging me that i cant do it witout risking going into preterm labor.. im now really glad that i did my baby shower early and that i have everything ready for these babies arrival.

just wondering if anyone else is on bedrest and if so how are you coping with it ??? any suggestions for keeping busy while not being up and about??

I've been on bedrest for a month now and have 5 weeks to go. It gets better. the first week is the worst because you feel helpless, and every once in a while I'll have a day that I hate it, but time is really passing quickly now and I'm finding enough to keep me occupied so I'm not so bored when I'm home alone. As I get further along, I realize that I need the bedrest and I'm too exhausted and having too many contractions to get up anyway. Hang in there, it'll be over before you know it!

I feel for you. I almost wish i was on bedrest considering the average day is agony and doctor visits are so frequented with crappy news i'd LOVE to avoid them....
But i suggest Writing. Keep a diary or a journal of all your thoughts. Take it as an oppertuntiy to LEARN something new :) I assume you're on a laptop? Why not peruse a few new websites. Stay on here and help all of us!!
Look into parenting things you've always thought about but not had time to research. Maybe some courses or qualifications.
Write to do lists, shopping lists, books and film lists for those nights off and nights in. Watch tv, read some new books, Write a novel!!!! WOO! hehe.
It must be infuriating, but this is for the best, and as long as you tell yourself that enough, you'll be fine. Remember to do leg and arm excersizes and to have a skin care regime. It can be terrible for you physically not to be active.
All the best! Good luck and love.
