I'm sure most of us don't want to get pregnant again right away!
What type of birth control are you using?
Any reason why you chose the type you did?

i get really sick when i take hormonal birth control and have tried almost everyone out there so after my first daughter i tried the cooper iud, turns out that when my uterus return to the pre-pregnancy size it was to small so all 3 sides of the T were touching the walls of my uterus, it felt like being in early labor all over again for over a month. So i had it removed and for over a year and a half we used natural family planning, im lucky enough to be one of those women who get cramps when ovulate so that week we dont have sex at all and it worked last time so we plan on useing that method again

Lybrel. I was on Depo which is a no no for aging bones. I chose it b/c I can't stand the hormonal flux monthly. With this, it happens once per year.

Well, with this being # 6 kid for us we are done. We determined that after I got pregnant. My husband had his vasectomy done back in Feb so that I can't change my mind.
I don't have the option of being on the pill, which I have had in the past, cause of having breast cancer back in 2008.
Plus the fact that the pregnancy is hard on me and I had complications after having this little guy. Had a blood clot in lung and high blood pressure. We are done: )

I used Implanon before I got pregnant. It was a little insert in my arm that my husband called "the speed bump" and gave us three worry-free years. Might go back on that. Was considering the IUD, but not sure.

I'm going to have the injection. As it's the only thing that agreed with me. I'm thinking of being sterilized too??

Ask about a diaphragm, it's no hormones, no more risks then using a tampon.

i havent decided what im going to do yet. havent used birth control for the last 6 years since my hubby and i had been trying to concieve and we were told we couldnt get pregnant on our own after a year of trying and seeing fertility docs.. so to them screw you i got twins naturally!!! lol

we hate condoms plus i have allergies and issues with them. i have tried all the pills on th emarket as of 6 years ago and only had lots of weight gain, irregular periods, and horrible migranes from them. i did the depo shots before too. got one shot and it should have lasted 3 months instead it caused me to not have a period for 2 years. havent tried an iud but i really am uncomfortable with the idea of an implant. ive know people to get pregnant on them and then end up miscarring the pregnancy. i've lost a pregnancy before and i know i couldnt handle doing that again. so i have no clue what im going to due yet. i still want one more baby in a few years hopefully but after that i want a hysterectomy since i have issues with really bad ovarian cysts which i've already had 2 major surgeries for and that would cure me of further issues with that.. right now my hubby and i have just been 'chancing" it when we have sex but i see my ob for my post delivery checkup on monday so hopefully i will have something then..

Yeah the risk of fertility loss scares me too, I'm sure it's not too high a risk, but I'm scared I'd be one of the rare few to never get pregnant again :/ I'm a worrier.

Well, I've now gotten pregnant twice while on the pill (didn't miss any days, I've taken the pill at the same time every day since I was 16). I have an 18 month old son and I'm 15 weeks along with our second. Of course we're thrilled; an unplanned pregnancy is certainly NOT an unwanted baby! I'm not quite sure what our next method will be, however. We want to be sure to wait a while before having #3, and the pill is obviously not working anymore. I'm nervous about IUD's simply because of the risk of infertility should it fail. I'm thinking of looking into the arm rods (I forget the actual name). They're good for 5 years, just like an IUD, and they're inserted into the arm instead of the uterus. Sounds a little less risky to me :0)

Ive tried like 5 different birth controls since i was 17. None of which worked. Rylan was compliments of Yaz. and Abryelle was compliments of Seasonique. So we are trying the depo shot which i cant start until i get my period, so for mow we are using condoms. We used to hate them, but the ones we are using are thin and dont dull him, so they arent bad.

i want another iud but cant afford it until my hubby is off parental leave. i loved my iud inbetween my kids, i took it out planning to get preggnant with baby #2 and had him 9 months later to the day! fertile mertile over here haha.. but really aside from the initial discomfort and the discomfort of removing it i felt nothing :) and had to laugh hard the ONE time my hubby said it "poked" him, he kept going if u know what i mean, so it couldnt have been that bad ahah

I want an IUD but I can't afford $300 for it so I'm trying another kind of pill until my fiance goes for his vasectomy. Unfortunately there's a 7 month wait list for it right now. I hate pills because one kind made me gain a lot of weight, another kind made my periods irregular, and a third one gave me a son so hopefully attempt #4 works out for the time being. Just realized how bad that sounds, I don't like pills, I love my son and wouldn't change a thing! Just couldn't word it well at 1am lol.

You could use a diaphragm, it's no worse then condoms convenience wise but the upside is neither of you feel it......

We're using condoms. We both hate them, but we're not ready for baby number 3 any time soon. After Savannah (my 1st) I tried the mini pill since I was nursing, but I felt that it affected my supply and decided not to get it this time. After I'm done nursing I will go back on the regular pill. I don't like the idea of having anything implanted in me or having to put something in me every time so that's why the pill is best for us. But until then we have to deal with condoms.

Our pills prevent ovulation too, but they also thin the lining of the uterus, which can cause a fertilized egg to not be able to implant and form it's placenta, so it is passed out in the period. It never implants so they don't consider it a miscarriage, but I always believed life began at conception so for me that's how it would feel.

maybe in US...here the pill prevents ovulation, so there is no risk of aborting a fertilized egg.
I know for sure that we have different pills in Argentina and US and that the hormones are different

I was on the pill for a few months before we started ttc the first time, but I really didn't know how it worked and when I found out it sometimes causes a fertilized embryo to 'die' I knew I couldn't use it again. I looked into all the other forms of birth control and they all work fairly similarly so the only option for me is condoms or a diaphragm, well we hate condoms, they hurt me and dull him so I got a diaphragm after Eric was born.
It's a pain to use, just cuz I have to put it in before every sex and takeit out later, sso not bad but still not too easy. But I just couldn't do any other kinds! Lol I know I'm weird. I know :)

I used to be on the pill and got pregnant (it was used 100% correctly!!) and had a miscarriage...so that is not even an option for us now. Scares me!
And I tried the shot..it made me so dang grumpy and moody...so thats not an option.
Hate condoms.
I had an IUD between my 2 kids and LOVED it..so will be getting it again this coming week!! Chose it because its a one time thing for 5 years, its super preventative, don't have to worry about it daily or before/during sex every time and it has super low horomones so no moodiness for me :-) lol

I'm going back on the pill as soon as I got my period (wich is still not here, not that I miss it anyways)

I'm on the pill since I was 17, and is what I'm used to and never had a problem before
