Hey ladies are any of you experiencing round ligament pain. I am having the worst time of it and that silly strap the doctor prescribes does no good. Anyone have an alternative solution?

My sister suffered from HORRIBLE RL pain. The only thing that helped her was a chiropractor specially certified to work with pregnant women. You may look online and see if there are any in your area, or ask your provider.

According to my EX DOCTOR I've been having RL pain since I was 3 weeks pregnant. It took 3 months to get another doctor because the nurses lied to me about no other doctors accepting my insurance. Finally I had to demand the names of the first three doctors alphabetically on the directory list. I WAS SO PISSED! We now refer to every LITTLE PAIN as RL PAIN! I can tell you REAL RL pain when I had it was totally different. I had to have my husband grab me by both shoulders and push me into a sitted position one morning. It hurt so bad I was in tears and STUCK for almost half an hour hunched over grabbing my side with both hands. I'm on prescribed pain medication and was almost out with only two pills left for 6 days I was saving for an emergency. After 30 mins of pain so bad any movement including taking pressure off my side that I was holding with both hands was unbearable, i finally grudgenly gave in and asked my huaband to bring my meds. My husband was ready to take me to the ER he was so worried! The meds took almost an hr just to take the edge off enough just to be able to move. I was miserable all morning! I really don't think they were very good for RL pain so I wouldn't recommend them over the risk if you don't have other real need for them. I'm sure I'll get hell for mentioning my meds, but I am on doctor supervision plus my obgyn is well aware of my situation. I do really worry about how it may affect my baby and take as little as possible as well as discontinuing 75% of my other muscle and anxiety meds. I am however blessed that my sister is a neonatal nurse and several doctors and nurses in my family who work at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston TX. I am preparing myself for an extended observation period in the hospital after the birth. I do recommend doing without if necessary, but if you need them YOU NEED THEM!
