My daughter has attitude, definitely and I see it especially when she hangs with a certain "friend" who's mom doesn't have the same values as we do

oh ya, comes with the territory of hitting puberty. Not an easy task for mothers to deal with. My daughter is doing that... but I rarely tolerate being talked back to. And she knows it's disrespectful. I give her a little leeway, but if the attitude keeps up, I remind her that things can be easily taken away, or outtings with friends will stop until she changes her attitude. I never use to be this up on discipline until my oldest daughter of 20 always tried pulling the wool over my eyes. I guess for my girls, they know my limits and do try and push my buttons... but they always keep in mind that I can also pull that attitude with them, and they don't like it. They like me calm and patient. Good luck. I mostly blame the hormonal changes and keep up on their friends seeing who may be a bad influence or not.

I have the same problem with my daughter. She is thinking she is grown, so when she starts to act out, I take her aside and talk with her.

And when that doesn't work, I simply toss her the electric bill and ask her how much she got on the rent. That takes her down a couple of notches! LOL

She doesn't show out after I give her that reality check.

My daughter is the same way!! I thought it was just me going through this, but now I see I'm not alone...It has to be hormones getting ready to go haywire for puberty...

My son has been like that for a few yrs already. I'm so not ready for it. We have tried taking away computer, DSi, Wii for not helping out or doing what is asked after the 10th time and nothing works.
