I have 2 sons. One will be 4 in Feb and the other 3 in May. My husband really is wanting to try for another one and I do as well but I keep going back and forth, constantly! I'm not worried about the pregnancy or delivery or so much the newborn months. The main thing I'm worried about is getting out and about with 2 toddlers and a baby. I've tried getting advice from other moms but I don't seem to get much of a response aside from "just wait till they are older" so I joined this website hoping to get more back than just that. Does anyone have 3 kids close in age? How was it going from 2 kids to 3? Is it hard to get around? I really appreciate any advice given!

I have a 3yo and 13mo and am 2 months pregnant with our third (oops). I am also very concerned about how we will get through our day with 3 kids! My husband and I work opposite schedules so most of the time there is only one parent. I am trying to set up the house so that it's as easy as possible to take care of. Although I don't know how well the first few months will go but we'll get through it. At least we are much more experienced than with our first or second.

I would also like to hear how moms went from 2 to 3 small children, tips, advice, coping strategies...

I got pregnant with my second child when my daughter was 7 months so they are 18 months apart. I was pregnant again three years later. So I pretty much have what you describe going on. As you know, the older two are best friends but worst enemies so they are the challenge. I was worried when I was pregnant about how I would cope but honestly, it went pretty smooth. My daughter is 5, son is 4, and the little one is 10 months. Thankfully my daughter just started kindergarten this year which allows me to target more of my time with the two boys.

As far as getting out and about, it really isn't that much different. I stayed in for about 2 months because of pure fear of dealing with all three in public but eventually, on a well-rested day, coffee in hand, I did it. I surprised myself with how well it went. Honestly, you just have to make sure you are fully prepared. Even if it's just to run out to get milk or bread, full itinerary is required. I'm talking change of clothes, bottles, and everything because you never know.

Don't let fear stand in your way from being a mommy again. After all, the biggest challenge you face is with yr two sons already so close in age. You can do this momma!
