Just thought I'd start a group I'd be interested in. I just turned 40 this year and sometimes I feel too old to be a mommy to a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Thought we could discuss, vent and help each other out.

Hi Keri & Ladies
I am a 43 year old mother of two boys. My youngest is 25 months old and my oldest son is going to 8 years old May 22.
The funny things is I was talking with my mom today and she was 43 years old when I was 19 years old. She had her children early. I guest it wasn't in the cards for me to have children early.
We tried having children earlier in our marriage but nothing happen.
We have been married now for 18 years.
I Yes I am going to say it can be lonely not having friends the same age as me with small children. I find it really hard to relate to younger moms sometime. I have read all the ladies post and I feel the same way. I am just happy to have my children and I don't care what I am going to feel like or look like in 10 years or more. I am just trying to keep myself healthy and happy. So when my boys are old enough they can take me on trips and pamper me and their father. Wishful thinking.
I hope I get a chance to chat with some of you ladies on this group.

Hi Everyone. I'm new to Cirlce of Moms....I just turned 40 in Oct...Ughhh I dreaded it.

Anyway, I have a daughter who will be 3 in Dec. There are days that I wish we could have had a child earlier (I have PCOS). But most of the time I'm glad I was "older" when I got pregnant because I feel like I have more patience (most days) and am a little wiser.

Hi Everyone, I am 41 and have a 6 and 3 year old, both boys. And I often feel way too old to be a Mom of such young ones! Most everyone my age has kids that are older so that makes it very difficult, both for me and the boys. It is hard to find friends their ages within my friends. It also kind of stinks because I wonder if I will still feel and look young when they are in their 20s!! Wish I had had kids younger so I could enjoy them more and longer!

I did start my family when I was younger, but I'm still going. I made a lot of friends whose kids were the same ages as mine, but they are all growing up now and my friends want to do different things than hang out at the park. That makes it hard to stay in touch with them. Do you all have that problem? And the people having little ones today are mostly so young it's hard to relate to me. They seem to see me as a mother to THEM.

Hi! My name is Kim and I turned 42 today! LOL! I have identical twins, six year old girls. I actually tried to start my family when I was younger, but it just didn't work out that way. I seriously wondered if I'd ever have kids. I'm glad it worked out the way it did though.

Good idea Keri! Thanks for starting this group. I turned 40 in January. My girls are 2 and a half ish and 16 months. There are definitely days when I wish I'd started my family at 25!
