Does anyone have trigger foods that set off the hot flushes? I have done something I swore I would never do and have switched to decaf coffee. I do feel better for it, as I also had heart palpitations, and these too have stopped. I also suffer from night sweats if I've had a glass or two of wine during the evening. I've cut that down to just the weekend. Maybe the menopause is nature's way of getting us to be more healthy!

Hi Bonnie. I have seen my Chinese doctor who has advised a herbal supplement, which works really well for me. I don't get hot flushes any more, but do have night sweats when I drink alcohol. I don't want HRT, as I'm not a great believer in Western Medicine, and rarely see my Doctor, and due to other issues, I don't have a lot of faith in them.

Hi Sarah. I'm not sure what sets off our hot flashes, but there are foods, etc. that are supposed to help. One thing is soy and soy based food products. I have been taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for 3 months now and I can honestly say that my hot flashes are almost completely gone. Talk to your Dr. and see what he or she can suggest to help you. Good luck.
