Amanda, the Christopher Pike trilogy I'm talking about is young adult but I read it a couple years ago (I'm 37) and really enjoyed it! I am a big fan of his though. The first book is Alosha, then The Shaktra then The Yanti. Alosha came out in 2005

I have to say my all time favorite series is Harry Potter closely followed by the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye. I also enjoyed Fablehaven by Brandon Mull and Percy Jackson by Rick Riodan. Oh, and the Anita Blake and Merry series by Laurell K. Hamilton. And the Goldie Shultz series by Diane Mott Davidson. I would reread all of them.

I'm reading the living blood series by Tananarive Due. I would like to finish the Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

I personally am not big into re-reading books. As a matter of fact I can only think of one book that I have ever re-read is Where the Red Fern Grows.

Outlander - Diana Gabaldon
Into the Wilderness - Sara Donati
Twilight
Harry Potter
Vampire Academy
Georgina Kincaid Series aka Succubus by Richelle Mead
Spellsong Cycle by L.E. Modesitt Jr.
The Saga of Recluce by L.E. Modesitt Jr.
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
Mercedes Thompson by Patricia Briggs
Glass series by Maria V Snyder
Study series by Maria V Snyder
Seven Realms by Cinda Williams Chima
Highlander Karen Marie Moning
Shadow Children by Margaret Peterson Haddix
Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind
Chronicles of the Cheysuli by Jennifer Roberson
Tiger and Del by Jennifer Roberson
Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan
Left Behind by Tim LaHaye & Jerry B. Jenkins
Dragonlance by Margaret Weis
Exiles by Melanie Rawn
Dragon Prince by Melanie Rawn
The Dark Is Rising by Susan Cooper
Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb
DragonKeeper Chronicles by Donita K Paul
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

I could keep going... lol

As for series that I want to read or am reading now:

Finnikin of the Rock (Lumatere Chronicles, #1) by Melina Marchetta

hmmm - that was short - there must be other series out there that I want to read. Just not sure what they are right now! lol

Ok, I think we will do The Hunger Games - I very much agree with Kenna that a lot of our kids are going to want to read it and/or see the movie. This group did read this in October 2010, but we have a lot of new members, so that should be fine. So it looks like this month we will start The Hunger Games and re-read The Help. Thanks all for your input!!

I am all for reading sookie again (i didn't read the last 3) but all the others were excellent! it's a great series. I am very interested in The Hunger Games as well. I bought the first one but never got a chance to read it.

I've never heard of the Hunger Games, but I'm open to new material. They sound interesting. My daughter is only 6, so we escaped the whole "Twilight" series thing. :) But, I'm up for staying ahead of the curve.

Has this club read the Hunger Games series? I ask because as a mom and teacher, I'm aware that this is the "next big thing" and if they haven't already, your kids will be asking you if they can read The Hunger Games & I feel, as moms we should be prepared. Although there is a large controversy as to what age should be allowed to read it, I personally love the series. It has tons of lessons on politics, propaganda, the role of reality shows, strength and perserverence, etc. I would love to hear different opinions on this series, including it current controversy. I for those whose children are reading the series, I have found discussion questions to help contect with your kids... Just a thought.

A member suggested the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris that the HBO show True Blood is based on.

These are the series that I have read /mostly read (maybe didn't read the last 1 or 2 books) and would not mind reading again:
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
The Eragon Series by Christopher Paolini
Wicked Lovely Series by Melissa Marr
Sookie by Charline Harris
Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward
Alosha Trilogy by Christopher Pike
(That's all I can think of off the top of my head).

The series I would like to read are
Hunger like no other by Kresley Cole
Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter
Midnight Breed Series by Lara Adrian
Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati
The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice (started to read these many many years ago and don't evenknow where I left off)
HIghlander by Karen Marie Moning
(hmmmm I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think for now)

I will be checking out your list myself, I believe :) A few of the titles you listed have been recommended to me by others lately. Have to check them out!

The Into The Wilderness series I'd be interested in. I don't know how many books there are; I have only read the first one when it was a book of the month last year. There are the Dune books, but I don't know if I could reread those! :) I could probably reread Harry Potter. I've only read all of the books once. Maybe if people started offering some more suggestions. There are probably many series I would love, I am just not aware of them! :)

I have such a hard time deciding.. Of course I'm indecisive about everything ;) My long-time favorite would be Harry Potter. I've read them all 4-5 times each. Twilight series, I just started reading about 2 years ago, I was a little late on that one ;) I LOVE that too, though. Have read them about the same as HP. Newest fav to add to the list is the Hunger Games trilogy. I just read them all a few months ago. Have read that series twice. I'm sure I will read all 3 (HP, Twilight & HG) again in 2012. Just talking about them makes me want to read them now :)
