Need help losing weight while breastfeeding..

Hi I am having the hardest time with trying to get on track with dropping this fat...my schedule is tues thru friday 9 am to 6 pm and saturdays 6 am to 2:30 pm...each morning I am up at about 6:30 to get myself situated before getting my almost 8 months old baby up at 7 am or 7:30 am...once I get off I go get her the days my husband doesnt get her and then I start to prepare for the next day and get her situated, fed, bathe and let her play as well as play with her as well and usually I am not in bed until about 10 or 11 because I have to take care of myself as well as my husband and our 15 year old son...my days just do not find time for exercise because it is so busy...I try to eat a healthy diet but with no activity it is very difficult not to gain any weight...does anyone have any advice for me...I need serious help before my husband leaves me for a more attractive woman...

I end up taking mine to the fridge in our breakrooms because on my lunch break I'll eat in my car and pump while I'm end there because someone is always using the room so I can hardly ever get in there...it's frustrating at times...

That is pretty nasty that it was in a bathroom. At least they are hooking you up with a better room. It is also nice you have your own fridge to store your milk. I get to put my milk in one of the faculty fridges that sometimes kids will put food in.

Well its actually a room located in the bathroom with a counter, outlet and a small fridge with a lock...they are now turning this old office with sofas in it into a room for pumping becaus it is a lot bigger and it accommadates more women...they have already changed the locks on the doors and placed the fridge/freezer in that room so now we are waiting for them to put the blinds up...it will be a lot better because I don't really like the bathroom and it is always occupied so I end up leaking and having to wait and the bathroom stinks sometimes so it can be very unpleasant...

Do you actually get to pump in a real lacktaking room, or at least a room that is comfortable? I get to pump in what used to be the old safe in the school. It will be a nice, cold and dark pump time. It is that or in a teacher's lounge where people do not always get that when the door is locked don't come in, they just think, oh I'll get the key.

Yea I make many sacrifices on a daily basis, I think all us moms do especially the breastfeeding moms because pumping can be a little time consuming at times if you dont have that extra time set aside for it...I'm working on trying to get an earlier shift but for some reason the manager doesnt like me and I dont even know him so hes been giving the shifts to others on my team and they have not even been there for a year yet and I have been with the company for 2 years so it has been rather stressful and frustrating lately...

Yes in fact I am an account manager for a call center and we sit down 90 percent of the time...we have a huge gym on site that is free and is open 24 hrs a day...it has all the ammenities...I use to go so many days a week but with my schedule and having a small baby it is difficult...I can't even do it on my lunch anymore because our lunches are no longer an hour they are now 45 minutes and I have to find time to pump and have my lunch...it has really been rough lately...I am so out of shape, my attitude has even changed, I have become so hateful and snappy...I mean there are other factors associated too...It's just been so miserable...

Man, that is a stumper then. I know I have lived a life of "junk" and white bread so that was a big change for me. Maybe you need to ask hubby to give you time where you can make yourself fitter for him. I haven't been able to pull that one on my hubby because I haven't gone back to work yet (I teach so I have the summer off). What do you do for work? Maybe you could pull a workout at work? I used to work in a factory during the summers and shortly after I graduated from college until I found a teaching job. I sat on my butt all day at work so at breaks I would walk around the building either inside or outside. It was really energizing. I would also walk and eat my lunch. That gave me a whole hour of walking while I got paid, but it was my break and I could do whatever I wanted then anyway. Do you think you could do that at work or do you have a job where you are on your feet all day??

Hi Angela I keep hearing about the WII FIT...we definetly need to add that to our collection of games...whole grains are all we eat...I don't by white bread, I havent in years and i do by lots of fruit and vegies, my activity is low and it has a lot to do with my hours..i think the only time I am able to get some walking in is on my off days and saturdays because saturdays i get off at 2:30 pm...with my 2 days off and saturdays that will be three days a week...i dont get off until 6 pm i hate it because i want more time with my little booties...lol

I wouldn't cut out carbs completely. If you are nursing you need a balanced diet. I am also nursing and trying to loose weight. I haven't found a ton of time to exercise either. I do some stuff with my Wii and I also have been walking with baby outside. I also have become a cleaning freak, so I try to do exercises while I am doing things I have to do like doing lunges while vaccuming and swats while putting away the dishes. I also try to carry my baby whenever I can, not only to make her feel good but I think carrying around her as an extra weight while doing daily things is kind of like exercising. I have also increased my fiber intake and calcium intake. I have changed to whole grain bread (which right away tasted like I was eating dry crusty bread, but after eating a loaf and now on my second loaf I actually like it now). I also eat those Fiber 1 bars, they are really yummy and easy to grab/eat in the morning when I am feeding my baby girl. I have also made a pack with myself that if I need a snack I eat fresh fruit and yogurt. I bought the Light and Fit Vanilla flavored big tub, that is the best on any kind of fresh fruit. I actually like that better than ice cream and fruit (one of my preggo craving that probably lead to my gaining of 60 lbs). At my peak of preggoness I was 230 and when I weighed on Monday I was down to 190. (I lost 30lb in the first week after I gave birth because I was retaining that much water) So I have been loosing slowly but surely. I always say it takes 9months to put it on so it will take me at least that to take it off. Don't be too hard on yourself, take it one day at a time. Think about things you can do that will change your life style (like switching to whole grains) rather than going on a diet.

the Wii Fit works well n you can just jump on it when ever you get a chance but if you really dont have time try cutting out all carbs from our diet!! this worked for me wen i wanted to loose weight before
