Getting my daughter into modeling

I was wondering if anybody has any experience with their child modeling? I am told all the time that my daughter should do modeling, I even had a modeling agent tell me that. She even acts like a little diva already and she's only 4 1/2. If anyone knows any good modeling agencies in the Minneapolis area, I would love to hear about them. Thank you.

I had signed my daughter up for modeling at an agency. The only thing you need to know is that you are going to be constantly "on call" for jobs. As a working Mom I found it too difficult to keep up w/. If you are a stay at home Mom or work part time you may be able to adjust to the pace of the agency. You get called to photo sessions like the day before it is going to happen and then you have to wait for call backs etc. You also have to take into consideration travel. They tell you up front you have to have at least 5 different outfits on hand for your child to change into at all times. It was too much for me and I felt bad because I really think she would have done well....I just don't have the time to put into making it a full time thing.

My sons did a modeling show for Kmart clothes when they were little. It was only one show, but they were so cute carrying their little balloons and wearing little sunglasses. I didn't seek them out, they came to us, and asked if we would do it. The boys didn't get money for doing it, it was for a fund raiser. It was fun, but don't know that I would want my kids into modeling at a young age. Education is so important. I know you could do both, but the more you put into education the more you will suceed later in life. I truly believe that.
