Hello Fellow Mommies of Bi-racial Angels-
My name is Erica and this is my first time posting here. I came because i needed to know if ANY of your mixed (my babies are blk/white but this is for mothers of mixed kids blk+any race)that may have been born with a white birthmark. I am concerned about it because (i dont know why the hell i do this) but i foolishly Googled "white birthmarks" and came up with a horrible genetic disease that could be characterized by 3 or more of these birthmarks, and that they may be very hard to spot in fair skinned kids like mines. My second (and last) little angel was born with a white birthmark that is kinda shaped like a sideways heart and is about the size of HER pinkie finger. She also has one BROWN birthmark that is about the size of my pinkie finger tip and i read that this will sometimes happen in cases where there are babies born to parents that have two totally opposite skin tones; like my husband and I....so...is there ANYONE else here that has a baby with a WHITE birthmark?? IS that common among mixed race black babies? any response will be appreciated because i am scared to death!!!

My daughter had one on her upper back that looked and was about the size of a maple leaf. The pediatrician noticed it immediately and told me the name for it but I don't remember what she called it. It was nothing to be concerned about. I was more concerned about the Mongolian spots on her bottom. Lol She also had the red 'stork bite' birthmarks on the back of her neck so I think she had all the birthmark colors covered. Lol

my daughter is mixed black/white, she has a white birth mark on her butt. she's reallly light skinned almost looks like a white girl, but the mark is even whiter than her. i've never looked into it on google, bc i didn't want to know the answers lol. But her doctor has never said anything about it being abnormal

My daughter, who is white with a little Native American, has a white mark. I first noticed it in the summer when she gets a very dark tan (unlike me lol). I can see it year round though.

Hi ya

I am a white mum and my husband a Pakistani my son was born last year now 18 months old and had No birthmarks at birth however within 2 weeks he got a cafe latte large one appear on his inner thigh on his right let which would be appearing to grow with him.

then as he got to 8 months a bright white birthmark had appeared by his belly button the size of a adults fingernail (now as it just appeared i thought i had caught the sticky of a nappy on his skin and taken the skin off but of course i hadn't !!!!! )

now i am only here as i was checking up a small mole my 5 year old daughter has on her finger on the inside now i am bit concerned about his birthmarks instead?

although he is a very healthy big boy and i am sure he is perfectly fine .

oh and my doctors have noticed them before so surly they would have investigated if there was any concern at all would'nt they ????

Most kids get these birth marks that look like bruises. My son has them on his butt. I forget what they are called. My son and daughter both got strawberries, my son still has his three, my daughters have finally faded away, but those show up when they are mad/ crying. Also, im mixed and on my legs by my knees i have these two brown spots, on both legs on the inside that are lighter than the rest of my skin. I've had those since I was a little kid, so yes I'd say its possible. My son has a white spot on his head near his left ear that disappers into his hair, its not big, but i notice it, he also has a birthmark on his stomach that as a baby looked dark brown ( he was very white) and as he got darker it bldned into his skin color, but it still noticable. My daughter has no birthmarks other than the strawberries that where on her forhead and eyelid.
