I agree with Alissa as well. Your inlaws might mutter to their friends, but likely, their friends will just think they are odd. (I've had that happen!) My cousin named her daughter Taylor b/c it was her maiden name, and she liked it. My motherinlaw was pressured into changing her daughter's name, and gave in. I feel that she conformed to the family a little too much and lost something of herself overall. (obviously not just the name thing, but other issues as well.) Name your child how you want, there are a lot weirder names out there!

Quoting Alissa:

Your baby, your name. Simple as that. Family will get used to it and it will be a nonissue.

I agree completely!  I think it is a cute frist name and there is a pretty good chance he will be the only one instead of something like Kyle ( no offense to anyone named Kyle, just an example) where it turns in to a situation  that there are 4 kyles in his class and he ends up being Kyle W.

Im not sure if I like that as a first name (love the name Lily though).  It does sound more like a last name than a first.  I like the suggestion for the name David.  Or how about Davies as a middle name?
