Constipation and celiac in 4yr old?

My daughter had the blood test when she was two and a half and it was neg. But she has had constipation issues since she was about 1. We have tried miralax, chiropractor, and diet (still on gluten) change, but nothing helps. Her dad has undiagnosed celiac but is on a gf diet. Does anyone have any experience with this symptom or any ideas? She also has unexplained low muscle tone in her legs. But otherwise she does not have any symptoms.....please help

my daughter was diagnosed at 11 months and at 3 1/2 still has constipation issues. Her consultant said that i can just be due to her still recovering and has given us some laxatives to used once a month to hel her as giving them too often can make the situation worse! i would have her retested just to make sure. You can still be a coeliac with a negative blood test! a lot of people have then gone on the get a postive result from an endoscopy! good luck

You don't have to have a bunch of symptoms to have celiac. Have you had her retested? It's been a long while since she was 2 1/2. My middle son had constipation as one of his few symptoms. It just kept getting worse as he neared diagnosis (his levels were high at the age of 2 1/2). But he's been GF for nearly 2 years now and is regular as can be. I would suggest getting retested as a starting point. Good luck!
