My 8 year old has just been diagnosed with celiac disease. I am looking for help on where I can get cookbooks, groceries and support for my kiddo. We live in Madison WI so if anyone out there is close to me that can give me good places to go that would be great!

Google, google, google, I have a 4 yr old with Celiac. Go to you can join their food club and order anything children love... go to and you can get news letters weekly...just a few for now. Best of luck! xoxo

Hi, don't know if I can be much help being in Australia but my whole family are Coeliac's including my husband. In Australia all product ingredients have to be listed on the packaging of food, I would imagine the same would go for over there. Basically if it lists Wheat, Barley, Oats, triticarle, malt, rye or gluten then stay away from it. these days there is just about one brand of everything that is available that is gluten free, even lollies now. I don't use any special gluten free cook book necessarily, I just substitute for gluten free products, i.e. instead of flour I use Gluten free flour etc. You'll get really good at reading labels and make sure you make plenty of time to spend in the supermarket. The only thing that is difficult to make is puff pastry so i would stay away from attempting that for a while, and things tend to take just a little longer to cook in the oven sometimes
