Stop telling me not to stress! You do not know what this is like!

We noticed the lump when my son was only 2 days old and it was an act of congress to get the doctors to take me seriously and do the testing. They thought it was a hemangioma and told me the chances of it being cancer would be "like winning the lottery"...well they finally did the scans and a biopsy to shut me up, and I was right😔 My baby at 10 weeks of age was diagnosed with an Infantile Fibrosarcoma...a rare malignant tumor. He went through 7 weeks of chemo...2 drugs, which were not effective and he ended up having surgery in April to remove the tumor. The surgeon was not able to get good margins on one side because it was attached to a major nerve. He also lost part of the muscle in his arm. They decided no further chemo was necessary and we are going back every 3 months for scans to see that it does not grow back. I'm tired of the ignorant remarks of well meaning family and friends. One friend said to me,"You know how they always say you need to buy new underwear every X amount of months??? Is it one of those things where you can negotiate with the doctor to have the scans every 4 or 5 months instead of every 3 to save money??" 😳 You seriously just compared my sons cancer to underwear. And if one more person tells me "Don't worry. The tests will come back clear!", I'm going postal! You know this based on what??? Intuition??? I've had it up to my nose with people....please, for the love of God, think before you speak! Rant over.
