This is common scenario but it’s usually because you’ve Spent so many years focussing on your children that you’ve forgotten to pay enough attention to your marriage. Embrace the fact you have the house to yourselves again you are a couple once again. My husband and I had two years of this before one of our children returned from college. At first I hated it but then got used to it. We both pursued hobbies we’d put aside and I enjoyed living as a couple again. Now with one child back after college we are having to readjust again. So my advice is to embrace it while you can.

You need some sort of marriage enrichment program.
Focus on each other.
Think about the things that brought you together in the first place all those years ago.
You need to have shared activities, interests again.
Suggest learn to dance, ballroom, rock and roll, social, anything that takes your interest is a good way.

For the kids, even though they may be adults, it is still heart breaking should their parents break up.

Think you were just going threw the motions, + staying together for the kids?
