Terry, I too had a traumatic hospital birth with my first baby, and then my second was born at home. After my first's birth, I had PTSD from the flashbacks. I couldn't get the negative images out of my head. When I was trying to figure out why I was affected the way I was, I found Solace for Mothers (www.solaceformothers.org) which is the US non-profit organization for birth trauma.

P.S. Thanks for sharing the link on your FB. I should do that again.

I signed it, and said, "I have a video of my son's homebirth from 20 yrs ago!" .... maybe that'll get their eye. GOOD PETITION ... will also put it on my fb profile page. It's sure to cause much comment! Good and 'bad' (ignorant). I wanted to have ALL my babies at home after the traumatic hospital event in 1976 with my first child. It hurt me so bad, I didnt have the nerve to have another child until 13 years later, then it was at home, went 100% by my prewritten birthplan and was absolutely one of the best times of my entire life. I felt like dancing on my bed, and sing, "I am woman, hear me roar! ..." :-)
