We have had Britax Marathon's and Britax Decathlons (still my fav!!) and presently use the Decathlon and just got my son his Alpha Omega Elite for dad's car... my inlaws and my parents both have Evenflo Titans and he is happy in those as well... the one that the others are speakingof from Walmart.. teh Cosco one... has really nad ratings, and according to the car seat classs I took recently to be certified to install those... they are not sure why those are even still on the market... just do some checkingon the internet for convertible car seat reviews.... this one also has reviews for budget friendly seat as well.... still I have to agree that the Britax ones are best, but if those are out of the price range, there are some really great options.

I just bought the Britax Marathon also and it is amazing! That thing doesn't move! I can't believe I had her in her Chicco carseat for so long now that I have this one. I read all the parent and safety reviews and this was the one to get.

ONE WORD... BRITAX!!! The safest most tested passed infant/toddler carseat. They are more expensive, but you can't put a price on your childs life!

The  Roundabout  is good but if you get the Marathon it will fit up until about 5 years old. You could always buy replacement covers to make it look new again!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, check them out for yourself! Sold at Toy'r'US and Target

I have a Cosco pink one from Wal-Mart and it is the greatest car-seat. My sister has a really high name brand car seat and my daughter is really fidgety in my sister's almost like she is trying to get comfortable. Whereas, in my car seat, she falls asleep before we even get out of the driveway
