So, up until now I have managed to keep my daughter on a pretty regular schedule, but now she doesn't seem to want to take her early nap. She will just sit and play in her crib. If she does sleep at all its only for about 10-15 min. Is this normal? When should you transition to just one nap a day?

I've noticed with my little one that she is pretty content when i let her sit and play in the crib during her nap time, even if she doesn't sleep for very long it gives her a chance to calm down and 'reboot' and bit

take each day as it comes if she seems tired in the morning then put her down if not wait until the afternoon. It will also depend on what her nights sleep was like if she didn't sleep very well she might need the morning one. you wont always know how well she slept the night before they won't always cry. They may of been restless but not upset. As a mother of 2 girls my youngest naps have been completely different to my eldest naps times at the same age. Also depends on how busy there morning has been. Just take it as it comes

All babies are different. Some days my son skips a nap and other days he needs both.

If baby is struggling to keep awake in the afternoon, I suggest to hold off on eliminating the morning nap. Otherwise if baby seems refreshed and in good spirits in the afternoon, it should be ok to remove the morning nap.
