We found out my daughter had a fused labia when she was 8 months old when they tried to bag her to get a sample to check for a UTI. She was about 85% fused and we were given some cream to that actually helped dropping her down to about 15% fused and we stopped giving it to her. About 2 months ago we were told she was back up to 75% fused again. I really don't want to put her on the cream again because it is a estrogain cream used for minapose. Now we can't give her baths for fear of infection and she now has baths and boring bath times. We live in a hott place and I wanted to let her play in a kiddie pool but am afraid of infection. She is in love with water and will play for a long time. I have thought maybe those water daipers would help but have no idea and will be asking her Dr at her next visit. Has anyone dealt with fused labia and how did you manage it? We were told that they wont do surgary till it is 95% closed and that surgary is a temp fix and really not to worry about it till after 10 years old because it noramaly corrects itself by then.

One of my daughters had the same, we used cream, which sorted it out, although I was told it would right itself naturally, as you were told. I think you just panic as a Mother, it will be fine, just take the advice and try not to worry. :)
