Intro from Jenn

Hi, I'm new to the group. I'm a 32 year old mom. My two daughters, Johanna who will be five next month, and Macia who is 3 1/2, both have SPD and Speech delays. It's a wild ride, but with therapy its getting better. We seem to be plateauing to a point and I'm not sure if OT is helping as much anymore...

Neither child is potty trained yet, but my older one can sometimes do a bit. I don't think she feels the need to go consistently. I'm sure my younger one doesn't.

My older daughter will be starting kindergarten in the fall, but each child has been attending a special needs preschool since they turned 3.

Nice to meet you all.

Jenn K.

Hello! My name is also Jenn! :) I have 3 sons ages 4, 2 and 1. My 4 year old was diagnosed with SPD at age 2. We did the home therapies until he aged out at 3 and has also been attending a special needs preschool. He is speech delayed and delayed in his play skills. He is a bully at times, especially when he is frustrated because he can't always say what he needs to say. He also has food issues. He gags and chokes on just about everything. My other 2 sons have not been evaluated yet, but I am thinking they both might have some SPD as well but not near to the extreme as my oldest! I'd love to chat with you whenever you want! Feel free to look me up on FB if you want.
