Hi there Sensory Processing moms! I'm new here and still figuring out how to navigate the forum, but I thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. My name is Laura and I am a mom to two kiddos ages 4 (5 in August) and 9 (10 in June). My 9 year old was diagnosed with SPD a few years ago. Life was hell for a while but with knowledge and therapy it DOES get better. Thanks to therapy done here at home and at school my son is like a different boy now. We still have our rough patches, but the difference is remarkable.

I'd love to get to know y'all and offer some support when I can.

Welcome! I am new here as well. My son has nonverbal learning disability. I created a website to help parents learn their rights in the school system. Please check it out:

www.diagnosingparentsrights.com.

I am always looking for guest bloggers for my Parents' Place discussion board to share their experiences. If you are interested, please email me your story at: serarivers.com

What kind of therapy are you doing at home, and what is being done at school? Just curious as my son heads to school in the fall.
