I noticed many of the posts here mention reflux. My son also had severe reflux for more than a year after he was born. I had no idea about his sensory issues then. It is interesting to me that it must be related.

His special diet so far is avoiding artificial colors and flavors in foods. I know there are also some preservatives I should be avoiding but I havn't gone that far yet. Dr.Fiengold (sp?) did some wonderful work studying the effects of food alergens on behavior in some people. There is a good website I will try to look up and post later.

Ivan is also not able to eat garlic, cabbage, broccoli, ect because of horrible painful gas.

If anyone has any diet ideas for helping spd kids keep their bms regular I need help with that right now.

The information website is www.feingold.org. I have not used it much because I grew up eating this diet I am kind of used to it. The web site does give good general information and explainations but I think you have to pay to get the full information packet.

I also wanted to mention if you have Trader Joes stores near by they carry many non-artificial foods, and provide list for you of what products are gluten free ect. They are great for many kinds of special diets.
