Hi everyone. I am just wondering if anyone can give advice on teaching my sons how to carry a conversation and how to help them with their short attention span. Especially my oldest son who is 4 and was diagnosed at age 2 with sensory processing disorder. He is delayed in his speech and play skills. He received all kinds of therapies at home through First Steps and at age 3 moved on to the preschool. He does have quite a few words in his vocabulary, but he doesn't carry a conversation very well at all. In that case it is like talking to a deaf child. And all 3 of my sons seem to be having a short attention span. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much for the help. I will look for those videos! Good luck to you in getting a diagnosis! If you ever just want someone to chat with who knows a little of what you go through, feel free to look me up either here or on FB as well!

I have a 2 year old son who we believe to have sensory processing. He goes this summer to be tested. he has no vocabulary. And he has body awareness issues also, but if you can find at the library Signing time videos they are great and you can help with signing communication and it can make things much better. Kaiden is trying very hard because he has no communication to learn signs. he understands when i sign with him. And I have two other children also, they are signing with him as well. They love the videos too.
