My Brother is Graduating from High School It's going to be a VERY loud event ALL of my other siblings and their children will be attending the event and there will not be anyone available to watch my little one with SPD large crowds and loud noises over stimulate her do you think if I got her ear plugs or ear muffs to block out the noise and I kept her close or let her sit on the lap of an aunt she really adores it would help? I'd greatly appreciate your input this is a new issue I don't want to miss this event he's worked harder then anyone I know to graduate and he's doing so with honers so any suggestions you can give would be very helpful

my son's OT suggested earphones with music for my issues. idk if she is old enough, but it may help her in other necessary events! :)

we got her some noise redusing ear muffs and it turned out my 14 year old brother go board about 10 mintues in so he took ALL of the kids to the playground across the street and kept them all there until it was time for the walk across the stage and all the physical activities kept her happy and calm! the Aunt is really her magic charm!

I would give it a try my mom is like a magic charm to my little guy & he is great with her more so than anyone so the aunt may be the ticket. We use ear muffs & they work really great in so many situations. I also find just bouncing my child wildly on my lap seems to help him stay calm a bit longer or a quick walk around then back to our seat. I do not know how vocal your child is that may be the only issue bring lots of favorite snacks as well. I certainly would give it a try though so you do not miss out.
