Hello Moms! I'm having a bonfire/dance themed party for my son who's turning 13 in a few weeks at our house but held outside. What time would most of you start & end a party like this. Both girls & boys will be attending & of course it will be chaperoned. Also any ideas on activities for this age group to break the ice? Any & all advice will greatly be appreciated.

I would say 7-11. We had a Halloween party for our 12 year old and we made a dance screen with 2x4's, old white sheet and colored floodlight. It seemed to be the hit of the party, everyone danced behind it. Wish I could post pic to show you. Also if you look online for how to change the color of fire, it will give you ideas of what you can soak wood in to produce blue, pink, green flames. They seemed to like that too. Maybe do a scavenger/treasure hunt, egg on a spoon races, 2 twister boards one for girls one for boys and see who can do the most, definitely download some "line dance" music, kids seem to love to do that, your son can give you ideas on what songs get everyone dancing, not sure what type of music he is into.
