My husband just recently phone a porn video on my 14yr old son's phone. I must admit its a shocking revolatation for me. Am not totally ignorant to the fact that he is growing up and would be interested in the oppersite sex but how does one handle these things? His dad took his phone away but I feel hat will not help the issue. Am not quite sure how to tackle this?

It's natural that he would be interested in learning about sex. Your son should be told that porn is not a healthy view of sex and is not how real relationships are. He should also be warned against sending or receiving revealing or naked photos of anyone under the age of 18, as this is child porn and could either send him to jail, or send whichever friends are also sending/receiving child porn to jail. It's a very serious thing.

As a parent, you should be monitoring how your son uses technology, even if parental controls are on place. There are still apps or other programs that can contribute to bad behavior and/or allow others with bad intentions to have access to your child.

You should always be reviewing your child's phone usage... what apps are on there, what he's texting, who he's communicating with. Kids should not have any reason to think that the information is private.

Thanks Raye. Thank you for the input. One read about these things and doesn't think much of it until it happens to you. I will definately have that talk with him. We did sit him down and talked but i feel like i didnt educate him "proper" conserning the consequence, like u mention about the underage pics. I feel like I need to equip myself with that sort of info in order to guide him best I can, thank you.
There is parental control on his phone, he got it from a schoolfriend, something that was downloaded from a site. But am not ignorant to the fact that its easy to get your hands on these things that's why I believe educating him is my best bet.thank u
