Hi. My 15yr old daughter is no more interested to practice her piano, music lessons. She does it only once in a while like once a week or so or even less than that. Inspite of repeated reminders she does not seem to be motivated. The moment she finds some time she is on iphone, ipad. Last week she told me to stop bothering her and she can take care herself. I know very well that was just to stop me from reminding her further. She feels I nag her a lot. I am lost. Not able to understand how to bring her back to the normal kid that she was.

Well, here's the deal. She's not practicing because she's really no longer interested in playing (if she ever really was)

My son begged to play cello. Deal was that I would purchase the instrument, he would devote the requisite amount of time to the instrument, he would devote the requisite amount of time to the group, and his instructors, and if he decided he no longer wanted to practice, I will sell the instrument, and he will apologize to his group and instructors for wasting their valuable time.

Stop forcing her to do something that she is not interested in. Save yourself the money, the hassle, and the time. If she wants to begin again, she can pay half for the expenses for the instrument and lessons.
