Just found out today my 16 year old is preganant. She never likes to confide much in me until now, which she knew I'd find out sooner/later. She wants to rid the pregnancy...Ofcourse, to take the easy way out, however, I told her that's in no way, an idea form of birth control. Thinking she may just have to learn in this life, we pay for our mistakes. Our choices will reflect our future. The young boy she sys wants what she wants but claims he's willing to step to the plate. Mind you, he's still in school himself, doesn't have a pot to take a leak in, but I guess his heart is on the right path. I on the other hand, don't know where to start. I am a divorced/sing working mom. I am a care taker for my elderly mom who lives with us, now this. The daughter has never been focused since she started high school, always complaining she hates the school and wanting to go to another one. She has been non compliant to my pushing her to excell and leave all else along and prioritize her education. She has one more year left in school before graduation, that is if she passes this year (she had to do summer school last year due to failing)...Now this. I am honestly lost, however my family and co--workers warned me this would happen. Wow, I'm quite embarrassed, as if I've made the mistake. Would appreciate any form of emotional support, thanks.

Evelyn, my dd is only some days along in her suspected pregnancy and has threaten to kill herself if her wish is not carried out. You know how kids say things they don't really mean; However, she's never been in this situation to my knowledge and I was told to take all threats serious, regardless. The update is we have an appointment this Monday to clinically confirmed pregnancy other than going by the positive Walgreen results and her preg. symptoms. They are going to give her consultation of her choices after the pregnancy results. So Evelyn, your advice is on point, thanks! Oh yeah, she also told me the schools allow them to go into confidential consultation and dispersal of birth control pills without mom consent and more. She states she only told me because she needed the funds from me since the boy can't contribute...this is crazy! I can't believe how many parenting rights are taken away these days by the system..
