Hi :-) I am currently 15, almost 16, years old. I'm not allowed to date until I'm 16, which I completely understand. I would like to approach my mom about finally meeting her good friend's son. She has met him several times, yet I have not. My mom always talks about what a good kid he is, and tried to set me up with him on a date to his schools Winter Formal last year, but I was too nervous. I've "blossomed" a little bit from being extremely shy, so now I feel I would be ready to meet him. I'm just not sure how to approach her about it. She is rather "conservative."

Any advice or tips?

yes. I am 13 going on 14 and when I talked to my mom about dating someone it can be awkward but what helps is when you let her talk to the boys mother and let her have the boys cell number and parents number and the they normally come around but always play the good card for you and the boy wit the parents because if the catch wind of anything suspicious they will end it right away.
