Does anyone else get depressed instantly when they have to be around their teenage daughters?

I have 4 teenage daughters that I have raised on my own even during my 15 yr marriage to their father. I have been divorced for 2 yrs now and met a wonderful man that puts my kids as one of his first priorities even though they are rude, hateful, disrespectful and unappreciative of anything and everything. I have done everything I can think of. I beg, plead, ground them, take away iPhones and Internet but nothing works. I feel horrible that I don't want to be around my own children. I did not raise them to be this way. Here it is Christmas and I am back in my bed wanting nothing to do with them. I have spent the last 4 months, mainly on the weekends trying to have meaningful conversations with all of them and it gets no where. They try to blame everything that's wrong in their world on me. I can't take it anymore. We are supposed to go out of town this weekend and I dread driving with them in the car. I want to see my family but I don't want to have my girls with me. The girls are 17, 16, 14 and 13. I have a 9 yr old son and I'm scared to death he will become just like them. Someone with any advice, please talk to me.

Hey sounds like a handful. you have already been through a tough life. You don t
need another bad life. All that you can do is be there by there side. And try not to yell at them because it won t get you anywher.Just get on with your life, I know that it will be hard. just be nice to them and hopefully later on in life they will be nice to you goodluck

Jennifer. Good Luck.. not easy. first of all as a single parent myself. I am not getting involved with anyone until "maybe" she goes off to college... I rather be alone. Hard age you have with the children, you have been thru a divorce... and now a new person in their lives.. so if they have an attitude because of their teen years plus all these changes in your life.. you are in for a ride.. good Luck....!! get them involved in church fast.!!!! so fast like tomorrow. and you too .. to keep your faith and cool with them.. TOUGH SITUATION..
