Foreign Exchange Student Trouble

we are in the process of having a foreign exchange student at our house, he is the same age as our oldest daughter Cassidy (16 years old). We were mailed his profile and pictures and he is a handsome young man which my daughter stated he was "hot". I told her that was a inappropriate comment, but she is a talkative teenager and they will be living in the same house.

Is it inappropriate to house a foreign exchange student that your daughter finds attractive??

There are conditions that you have to follow with exchange students, and usually the first is that they must have their own separate, private space. That being said, you need to set your daughter down and have the "appropriate behaviour" conversation with her. While that young man is in your home, he is her 'brother'. He will have been told the same thing.

You never allow them time alone outside the public areas of the home, either.

When my son went on exchange, his 'exchange family' had a teenage daughter a year older than he was at the time. They lived together for a month. Nothing happened, everything was just as it should have been.
