Did he buy his own computer? Does he pay for the internet? Does he work or go to school?

If you bought the computer, take it away. If you pay for the internet, cut it off, or password protect it so he can't get online.

If he really wants to spend all his time on the computer, he can pay for it. At the very least, he'll be off the computer and at a job.

Once he buys his own computer and is paying for his own internet though (I would suggest requesting rent, food, utilities, etc also if he's no longer in school) there's not much you can do about it. If he's completely independent, he can do what he wants and if whatever that is bothers you that much, you can always ask him to move out.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post Denikka. He did buy his own computer and he gives some money towards electric every month. He did a two year carpentry and joinery course at college and has not been able to get work yet. . . .although to be honest he is'nt trying very hard with that! I feel so stressed out with it all, its like a drug to him. . . a real addiction. He never bothers to see friends or go out at all in fact if it was'nt for his 8 hours a week at a local supermarket he would'nt leave the house! I could'nt ask him to leave as he has nowhere to go. He dos'nt know how to hold a conversation with anyone, we have tried so hard to speak to him about this but he just wont see it our way.
