please help, i need advice on how to tell my son age 13 years he will be a big brother. i am with a new partner, and have always wanted a sibling for my son, as it is such an important relationship, but i am worried that i have left it too late, and insted of love he will feel excluded, or upset. what is the best way to tell him the news to give us a good start to this experience together.

The best way is probably to ask him if someday he wod want Another sibling. If he says yes, then tell him then with a hint of excitement in your voice. That will tell him that you are happy about it and will include him. If he says no, tell him with excitement/sympathy in your voice. Tell him any good things that could come out of this news and try to comfort him in any way you can. That is all you can really do!
