I feel as though I have failed my child and myself. I am embarrassed and full of shame. I cannot stop crying for the daughter I always wanted but will never seem to have. Growing up catholic, I am struggling with this. Why tell me? I want to scream...I wan't it to go away and not be part of my life.

I agree totally with Sarah too. Please don't reject her, it could be very bad for her. If it will be her real sexuality, it is a big part of herself and not accepting that means not accepting her totally. Sexuality is not a thing you can teach or control, you cannot choose it. Unconditional love is what the parent have to show.

I agree 100% with Sarah. She's still your daughter and still worthy of love.
