I need to use cell phone locator services to track my 13 year old daughter. Please let me know your successes or trouble with this.

My 13 year old daughter does not always go to the Boys and Girls club after school. I thought an easy way to track her would be to track her cell phone. She has an LG phone. I have an iPhone. I would like a system that does not download anything to her phone. Thank you in advance.

The best way to stay safe is having the convenience of knowing where your child is if they ever need your help. My daughter downloaded this app the other day that sends me her exact location when she presses a button on her iphone. It helps me always know where she is in case there is some sort of emergency and she needs my help. You can type in "Current location tracker" on the app store and find it.

Hope this helps,

Not sure what carrier you have but I know Verizon has a GPS tracker you can add as an additional service. We use it here at work to track the location of our employees with company phones. You do however need to get a hold of the phone to turn on the location services, which she could just as easily turn off as well if she knows about it. The iphone also has the find my phone feature if you were to give her that one , but that feature needs to be turned on as well.

I'm not sure there is anything you can put on there that you don't need to add something to her phone.

We had something on my sons (when he had a cell phone) but we had to get his phone to add it.

We told him we needed to do some routine maintenance and he bought that story.

Maybe you could tell her you need to take her phone in for service or something?

We had the sprint family locator. I think all of the cell phone companies offer some tracking.

Also, you can check out netnanny. See if they have anything for cell phones. I would think they do.

I wish I could help. I purposely bought my daughter and I each an LG phone so that I could track her location (in our case, for safety purposes). I still haven't been able to figure out how to track the GPS through her cell phone or mine. I'm fairly savvy with technology, but I've no clue as to how to do this yet. I'm not sure if you can track her with an iPhone. There must be a way. You might want to check with the Geek Squad at Best Buy. They may be able to offer you a suggestion or two. I hope this helps. Do the Boys and Girls club have a bus that transports the kids to the club after school? My daughter walks directly home from school with a friend and I'm home from work already. Why not call her when she's about to get out of school and remind her she needs to go with the other kids to the B/G club. I know she might rebel, but at least you've tried to get her in the right direction.
