I just don't understand her! She wants a boyfriend so bad! She has one but she doesn't want to spend anytime at all with him! They text back and fourth 24/7. To suggest they go to a movie or something even on a double date with HER friend and boyfriend doesn't want to so it! Try to talk to her about this and doesn't want to talk to me! My question is why does she not want to spend time with this boy?

>She still has rules to live by and mom is asking for help not to be told to allow her daughter to do whatever she wants. My daughter listened to me or she got grounded. My son has the same sets of rules she had. He has broken one of them and now he is paying for it.

HEIL HITLER!!!!

I can pretty much imagine what this family looks like, HERR KOMMANDANTE!

Your children DEFINITELY get all the affection and love their need.

On a more serious note, what about being compassionate, respectful and comprehensive? You missed a few pages from the parenting book.

>I suppose you think sneaking out after curfew is okay for a kid this age?

What curfew? What sneaking out? What are you talking about? Are you sure you are in the right thread?

>Carrie-she still has rules to live by at home. How old are you?

What rules? The rules that she has a boyfriend but doesn't want to meet him? Okay?

I'm 38.

Kids nowadays are completely immersed in texting and social media. What older people might use for convenience because it's short and written they use for a primary communication outlet. When they text they are spending time together even if it looks like they're apart.
