My 17 year old daughter is devasted over a break up.

It was a long distance relationship but she was madly in love with him. He ended it suddenly and won't even talk to her anymore. He moved on but she is stuggling with understanding how her best friend could turn on her. I feel her pain and don't know what to say.

Welcome to teenage romance they will fall in love over and over throughout highschool, this is normal and what this boy did is normal. Not right but normal. I think you should get your daughter some counseling to help teach her how to cope with these things in a more positive way and learn how to put things in her past. You need to listen and not criticize this boy for his bad choices be your daughters confident let her tell you how she is feeling and let her get it all out. She will go through many more breakups before she finds mister right and she needs to learn to be independent of a man so that she doesn't feel lost if she doesn't have one.
