My 19 year old son smokes pot. I really dont have a problem with it because it is legal here, but we live with my brother in law who does have a problem with it and wants to kick my son out.My son does not smoke when he is around but my brother inlaws son smoked in the house and my son got yelled at. I cant afford to move out.He doesnt want them smoking outside or at the corner. Embarrased of what neighbors might think.I dont know what to do or say I dont want it to ruin our relationship

Actually, the first response indicating age is slightly incorrect.

In Colorado, the age limit has not been fully discussed yet.

But, here's the deal. You are living in someone else's home. They don't want your son smoking marijuana in their home. Enough said. You & your son need to respect the home owners. That being said, he'll need to find somewhere else to do it.

First of all. It's only legal in WA and CO if you're in the US. Both of which are not legal until 21 years of age. Do you encourage underage drinking? You respect who you live with. Your son should stop, or be kicked out.
