my daughter is gay

A few nights ago I was picking her up from the bus stop (it was raining to hard to walk home) (she didn't know I was picking her up) and I saw her kiss her friend after they got off the bus. the other girl (who I thought was just a good friend of my daughters) walked a different way and my daughter saw my car and got in. I haven't mentioned anything and I don't know if I should. I personally am against same sex marriage but I want to be a loving and accepting mother. What do you moms think?

I think that, if you cannot be totally accepting of your daughter's sexual orientation (or her curiosity in that area), you need to be completely honest with her. She doesn't need you mouthing platitudes to her, and disagreeing with her behind her back.

She hasn't told you because she senses that you are uncomfortable, and she doesn't want you to have to choose between your "values" and your kid.
