I'm sorry to hear about that. I say seek professional help b/c he could have an undiagnosed problem. My daughter has OCD & has been on meds since she was in 8th grade. She has become a social butterfly since then. Praying for him & you!

HI. I am so sorry about your sons situation,..i am praying now a quick suggestion is to get him volunteering if he is not prone to violence or extremely social disruptive behaviors etc.... That could allow him a few "good" personal and outward rewards, such as better emotional health from seeing others affected by something great he has done cooking feeding the homeless.. clothing donations..homework help with kids.. Perhaps outside of your community new surroundings are sometimes needed where he can be allowed to start over with a new beginning as a young adult. I will keep you and family in prayer (remember a three stranded cord is not easily broken! jesus said with 3 there i am in the midst) But in the meantime meet him where he is as jesus did lets get him to helping kids through video games -IN PERSON :) there are tons of educational games and as a reward they can earn him teaching them to play a regular game (age appropriate of course)

Im sorry to hear your son is having this problem. But it is very common. h e is not alone. Its hard to find the right friends nowadays. Is he still in high school? Does he like animals? A pet like a dog can do wonders. There are many things I would like to know to help but it would take a lot of information to really know the situation better. But a pet mostly a dog will get him out for walks, socialize with other dog owners go on hikes so many things to keep the day busier. and they love unconditionally. You will see a change in him. God knows caring and sharing love, brings fulfillment to oneself. Hope this helps. Also getting a part time job will really help to get him out into the world and have some fun.
