Hi, my name is Silicia, i'm going to be having a birthday party get together thing for my son this year for my son who will be turning 14. His birthday is initially in the summer (July 23) and it is always hard to get the other boys that he knows together to come over for a party because of plans already made for the summer. I figured that it would be better to plan on doing it early and my son decided he wanted to do it on the 25 of May also. The only problem that I am having right now is what should I do for him? Should I buy a plain cake or cupcakes, should I let the boys have an Xbox Tournament or is there anything else that anyone can suggest I do with these boys, it's hard being a boy I certainly don't want this party to be a big flop for my son. Are there any suggestions out there I would appreciate them very much.

At that age, I generally had my kids pick activities they wanted to do: Movies, hang at the park, bbq, or just hang out together and game.

If they wanted to do somehting that required money, such as films, then my sons would help save for the expense of treating everyone

Have you asked him what he would prefer? If they are his friends, he will know what they would like best.
