Hello. I am new here. I am at a loss. My daughter is 17 and in her junior. She is a great kid and I know she can be doing worse. She has great grades, works hard, and never been alot of trouble. But she can be quite mean and this year has left me exhausted. She says things like family isnt important and she wishes we all would just didappear. The holidays were awful. For Christmas she asked me to take her to the mall so she could get presents. She bought for friends and her two favorite teachers presents no one in our familly was acknowledged. She recieved the lead part in the school play. She told us she dudnt want us there. I went to opening night anyway. I sat where she couldnt see me and stood back from the crowd wIting for her to depart from friends. I gave her a hug and told her she did a great job. She got upset and said I told her she did a great job. She said I told u not to come but later ask me how she did. Then wanted to practi e driving. So am I suppose to rrally disappear out of her life as she commands? My worry is if I do didappear from her life what that looks like diwn the road? What about the outbursts and unkind words ? I dont want her thinking she can treat others as if she can use them and toss them aside when it doesnt suit her. I am so beside myself.
