I have never been happier my son just called home tonight and he sounds like he is in heaven. This has been what he has wanted as far back as I can remember and he now is finally got his dream. I am so proud of him

Yes, it's normal to feel the way you do. Especially during the first weeks, because they are not allowed to contact you, and you're only allowed to write, not call them.

You'll feel better once you talk to him...

Sorry if I did not explain myself right. I seem to have a tendency to do that. But I now want share with you that I have gotten three letters now from my son. He sounds a little tired and says he will be going to basic today and might get to call me. So hoping and praying to get to hear his voice.

Yes I know most of us fit that description. It just helps to talk to others that is going threw what I am going threw. Sorry did not mean to take away from any others that are going threw this. Because I know that for myself this has been the hardest thing that I have ever had to endure, but I also know that the best feeling that I have ever had was loving my son Corey.
